A week or two ago I was driving through the Hoosierville countryside and my keen powers of observation arrested my attention. In disbelief, I looked over and saw a filleted fish draped over a reflector.
Yes, a fish draped over a reflector.
For you locals, this amazing visage is at the intersection of CR 34 and 35.
The chances of this happening naturally are about a billion to one. Just think, someone premeditated this!
I’m sure they were just wearing their Hoosierville citizenship on their shirtsleeve.

So does this fall into the category of roadkill or not? Did you take it home and fry it for supper? Did your wife put a stop to you cooking? Is this the supper you told me on IM that you had to leave the computer to cook?

This is not roadkill (it was not killed on the road). This is not edible (notice, the meat is gone). This is not anything my wife had to worry about. This is NOT what we had for supper.

I guess the definition of roadkill is: “An animal or animals killed by being struck by a motor vehicle.”
*brightens up*
But if I was a liberal then words (like “is” and “morals” and “marriage” and “establishment”) could mean whatever I twist them to mean. That means that a pipe, because it is a vehicle of death, is a vehicle and it is a motor vehicle, because it is being motored by your arm. A pipe being, of course, the method of choice for killing caught fish.

If only I had the courage of a crazy hoosier to take a dead fish and drape it over a reflecter. I’m sure they were only making a statement like…save the fish, or something.

Gasp. Shudder. Shriek. That reminds me of an almost unbelievable story that my friend (who works in the ER) encountered yesterday and found it vital to relate to us. Don’t ask me to repeat it. The girls howled while the guys turned several shades of pale:) It really did involve a fish.

Didn’t you think of what she told us the minute you saw the fish dangling? It is forever embedded in my memory. And I didn’t tell these people anything. I just had to express my horror. A short, but potent word entered here. Just had a paper returned–84%. I need to improve myself. I head to do just that. I shouldn’t be on here anyways…my instructor will fire me shortly.

Yeah. This is the one that isn’t me. HA! That was funny. Don’t worry though, people that know us get us mixed up sometimes. The difference in her and is is the simple fact that she is tall, I am merely average height. I have merely average hair and her’s is orange. Yep, there are differences.

It’s nice to officially meet the rest of you as well. Darin, I am the other one. Only I wasn’t flustered:) Bewildered? Yes, I had no clue who you were, but it probably bothered you more than it did me. I found it hysterical.

The Baritone has a good point. Especially you shouldn’t say never in the case of “never will be.” Think about it, someday you might be touring a traffic cone factory and fall into a vat of orange dye, or something. Or Ag might sneak into your room some night and dye your hair orange. And for the record, I agree with you: your hair isn’t orange; At least I don’t remember it being so on the Israel trip.
Ag is just doing the normal younger sibling tease thing and you are doing to normal older sibling beat-up thing. *grin* Just like Benji and I…

Younger siblings are so abused. We make such innocent comments and suffer for them months afterwards. Aimee is so sensitive about her hair. You can’t call it brown, and you can’t call it orange. Either one gives her a complex and causes her to make threats of running to a salon.
Actually, she is BARELY my older sister. We decided long ago that we might as well have been twins. We are 18 months apart and people always ask if we are twins anyhow. AH! I have heard the “you two have got to be sisters……are you twins?” comment so much, I find myself fighting utterly ridiculous responses. I force myself not to succumb.

The Baritone: I most definitely will say never!! My hair will NEVER be orange. Maybe blonde, maybe black (I’ve always wanted the experience of “dyed” hair) but never orange.
Hans: You have too much time to think:) I don’t intend to fall into any tank of anything.
I do keep threatening my sisters with an orange dress. I think I’d find it liberating and they most certainly would quite calling my hair orange. One of these days I’ll show them orange!!
