Today I Opened the Door for Randy Shelnut
I was making a delivery to the Blue Gate, and after I parked my van I saw a big shiny bus pull up to drop off some people. I quick grabbed my stuff and headed for the door to see who it was.
It was Randy Shelnut, Stewart Vernado, Jeff Stice, Scott Inman, and one other guy. I was just ahead of them, so I opened the door for Randy Shelnut as we went in. They’re in town for the big multi-piano thing. I was actually delivering the programs for the show.
It wasn’t very fair, because I was working and they were going in to eat. I thought after I left, I should have told them to try the ham. Bummer, I didn’t think of it in time.
I always did like Randy Shelnut and Scott Inman, the least I could have done was recommend the ham.

Today I opened the door for Ruby Roth.
I bought her pancakes, eggs, bacon, and coffee, though. (The water, I think, was free.)
Even though I’d read your post earlier, I didn’t remember to tell her to try the ham.
Oh well.

But have you tried the ham yourself? If you have, then you’re without excuse like me.

And I’ve always enjoyed Jeff Stice, too. You should’ve recommended the ham to him, too.
