Much to my wife’s glee.
This happened a couple of weeks ago. The tie rod just popped out of the tie rod end, who knows why. Maybe the locking nut had been loose for awhile and it gradually wowed out the threads, I don’t know. Two mechanics and a farmer said they had never seen anything like it.
Fortunately, it happened in the driveway!

Tom, your car has such class. It needs a foot doctor. It’s called “excessive toe in”. It looks like the personality and class of the Red One has really been enhanced by the above mentioned malady. This foot problem is wonderful on slippery roads, produces an experience like nothing else.
Your snow looks wonderful! Enjoy and be glad it isn’t 45 below zero. John

That’s kinda freaky, man! You are indeed LUCKY that you were in your driveway, and not on the interstate. Funny picture, though!

I believe that’s the first cross-eyed car I’ve ever seen! You could get that on Letterman. :)

It’s obviously a result of abuse, including windows left open during Hoosier downpours..the water has to escape somewhere..

It must have finally realized that it is missing the front license plate and is trying to find it.
