Tyler Troyer Memorial Clubhouse
A few weeks ago, my nephew Tyler Troyer‘s old high school baseball team named their new clubhouse in his honor. The local newspaper has an online photo gallery from the dedication ceremony.

Tom, Coach Lien said that it is “one-of-a-kind” in the state of Oregon for a high school and it will house the varsity, jv, and freshman baseball teams. The community raised over $60,000.00 to build it and they have to install the cameras for the video taping of practices and games for viewing. I was honored to be there for the dedication. Will, LeAnn, Craig, Anisa, Venisa, and Carol were also there. It has very nice craftmanship in the building. They have Tyler’s retired baseball jersey, and his military uniform in glass cases hanging on a wall. I have to admit that I feel proud to be called his Dad, but not in a bad way. Nest time you come out, we will have to arrange for you to go through it.

Sorry for the misspelling of next. I spelled it “nest”. I must be tired or just getting old.

Yeah, I’d like that.

I can’t believe that’s a highschool “clubhouse.” That’s really awesome that the community pitched in like that for such an outstanding memorial.
