Another Catastrophic Milestone
Happy Birthday to me! I’m not going to tell you how many this is, you probably can’t count that high anyway.
Normally I don’t mention my birthday, I just ignore it and deal with it as it comes. But not this year, and I don’t know why. I kept telling my wife about it and saying stuff like, “Do you know what today is? It’s my birthday eve!”
And here I am telling the whole world about it just as the clock creeps past midnight and enters the first minutes of this golden day.
I do get a great present. I don’t have to go to work today!

If I would have know ahead, I would have sent you a cane to help you prepare……….
You are 31 right? Or, (oh gasp), are the numbers creeping higher than that? Better brace yourself Thomas, it’s all downhill from here.
Bid the days of youth adieu with a helpless smile and weak wave.

Tom, had you not reminded me, I would have forgotten. When you get to the next decade, you don’t always remember your own birthday, let alone make a big deal about it. Happy Birthday Bro! Anyway, don’t let anyone make you feel old, because you are only as old as you allow yourself to feel. With just getting married recently, you’re just a youngster in your prime. another older bro…dt

Happy Birthday!
What’s wrong with that profile pic? It’s simply splederiferous and supercalifragilisticexpealidocious!

I think that pic make ITF look as if he desperately needs to come up for air. I do concur with the concerned citizen that it is high time for a new pic. I doubt that ITF is ready to swap photos for awhile, though… Just a gut feeling, even though his constituents would like a new view.
But moving on to the really important stuff, I do hope you have a magmarvelous and wonderful birthday! I can relate to the fabulousness of having the day off, too. It’s not even my birthday, but I am relishing this precious day off. This day, and the Fourth of July, are the only summer days I have had off other than of course the weekends. So, it’s a pretty precious commodity! Enjoy–and do come up for air out of that iced tea glass so that you can extinguish that dizzying mass of candles in a single constituent-dazzling puff.

Happy birthday! Seems like just yesterday I had a new baby brother…Your bedroom was on the other side of the wall where the piano was and I was worried that I would no longer be allowed to play late at night as was my habit…Dad told me to go ahead and I don’t believe you ever woke up crying because of the racket I made!

Uh oh… Darin still remembers that… I’m in trouble once we finally do meet in person. He has a long memory…

Thanks everybody. I survived the day with little more than a wheeze and gasp, didn’t even need the cane. Things are looking good.
Thanks for all the optimism Ag!
Lauren – Well, I’m smiling, but I can wait for the next one!
Anon – Forget it. That pic is perfect and it’s here to stay. It’s one of the best pics I’ve taken in my entire life!
Brother Dave – Thanks for the perspective, I’m sure you’re right!
Hans – Thanks for the vote of confidence and interjection of logic and common sense.
EG – Keep following that gut feeling!
McKenna – Ag was right, I’m 31. But I’m not as old as your dad! We went to Jewel’s parent’s house and had a great barbecue! Then I went with Jewel to class. Hope you have fun in school!
Thanks DA, I guess!
Darin, you just wait, you’ll be here before you know it.
Big Sis – I didn’t know that before. You probably played a key role in my musical development!

Tonight as Mr. ITF took me to class, since he had the day off. On the way home we were behind some older folks. Mr. ITF muttered about them getting off the road. I quickly reminded him that he was half-way there. Happy birthday honey.

Well, Well, the pain that comes from just a simple number increasing by one throws our world into a frenzy. Just remember, You will grow older, and may grow out (depends on the food), but you don’t have to grow up! Really growing old isn’t so bad, especially when you consider the only other option……I’d like to hit 120, but only if I don’t have to grow up in the process. Lots of love from your Real Canadian Bro.

The Coblentz household wishes you a great b-day also–31 is not bad at all–wait til you’re my age and your “friends” whisper all sorts of dire things for the next b-day–I may go hide–where I’m not sure!!:) Hope you had a great one!!
