Wow! Look at what I got today!
Oh yeah! I told Jewel a week or two ago how that ever since I was a kid I wanted one of those giant chocolate kisses, but I never ever had one.
Now I do!
I always wanted those big heart boxes of candy too, Dad often got Mom one so, you know, the kids always get some of it, but I always wanted a box for ME!
Now I have two!

What would the world be without chocolate?
My date was charming, blond, blue-eyed, and a very entertaining conversationalist. I am in love!
I have a serious pet peeve. That is these sappy females that turn into self-pitying babies when a holiday such as this arises and they find themselves without a male companion to fawn over them. I think it’s disgusting.
I, on the other hand, enjoyed my Valentines Day immensely. My precious 2-year-old nephew, whom I absolutely adore, graciously agreed to be his Aunt Nita’s date for the day. Actually, graciously agreed, is a gross understatement. He was tearing mad circles around the house.
We did fun things all day, like make twelve plus detailed rounds through a pet store laughing heartily at Aunt Nita who is not as fascinated with snakes as the other party, gaping at lizards with a sense of awe, holding hamsters, talking to fish, eating pizza, going through a SECOND pet store in a similar fashion as the first, running through the rain quoting the gingerbread man at the top of our lungs, sharing a chocolate milk shake at an adoreable diner, and oh the list could go on. The milk shake part was funny because we had this big, chocolate milk shake and my little “date” kept shoving his face in it and licking off the cool-whip. We talked and giggled and made up silly songs and were completely and ridiculously happy with life.
A perfect Valentines Day! After all, what more could a girl want?

Mmmm! Chocolate! Milk, dark, in bars, nuggets, miniatures, syrup, I don’t care. I love it. Chocolate makes my outlook just a little better; of course, it makes my waistline a little bigger, also! I also like to shop; does that make me an unusual man? Or just weird?

Paul, it makes you special!
What more could you want Ag? Um. . .another 20 years on your date?!

Actually Tom, truth be told, if I would have had two options standing in front of me, one with the twenty plus years, the other the little guy, I would have chosen the later! I wouldn’t have traded my day with this guy for the hottest hunk you could find me anywhere. Sorry. I’m alot more interested in the little guys!!!
Karen, being an aunt is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I am blessed with two angel babies, and a third on the way. My nephew is two and very bright, my niece is nine months and a firecracker. My second niece is preparing to make her grand entrance into the world of harsh humanity. I’m concerned about this one though. These little people are a really big deal in my family, and we can’t make it to the hospital fast enough, where we laugh, cry, take amazing amounts of pictures, kiss, hug, and cry some more. This next little lady is going to make her grand entrance while I am at Bible School. This is a difficult fact for me to accept! I’m trying to plan an emergency evacuation route, but I don’t know. I’m just praying that she’ll come on a weekend!!!!!
But yes, I love being an aunt!

I hope the weekend wish works out. It’s definitely quite possible considering that is the way it worked out in our family when my first little darling nephew entered the world. Sheri was at Bible School and managed to be in on the whole exciting event with the rest of us that Sunday night.

I’m crossing my fingers and sending prayers Heavenward! From one aunt to another, I’m sure you alone would understand how exceedingly difficult it would be to be stuck somewhere while the rest of your family gallops to welcome one such precious angel into the world. The fact that she is going to arrive when I am at Bible School very nearly kept me from going…….but the Lord keeps pushing me otherwise…..so I’ll just try to be really strong if the worst does happen and I can’t meet her for several weeks…..ha! I’ll TRY to be strong! TRY is the key word here!

Karen, I just made a brilliant discovery. I checked out the ever faithful mapquest.com and found that Harrisonville, PA, where I will be, is 2 hours and 42 minutes from Catlett, VA, where my new niece will be. So, in planning the E.E.R. (emergency evacuation route), I realized a clever little thing. I am planning on taking two morning classes, which would mean that I will be done by 12:00, so if I would leave promptly, I could be in VA by 3:00, be there until 6:00, and back at Bible School by 9:00. How is THAT for a plan! It might just work……..
