When Mrs. ITF and I were on our honeymoon, we took one day and visited the Biltmore Estate. We had both wanted to see the place, and we really weren’t that far away, so we made the extra drive down there.
This place is nothing short of astounding!
At 175,000 sqare feet, it’s the largest privately owned home in the United States.b
I thought about this a lot while we were there. I’m all for raging capitalism and prosperity, but I can’t imagine people spending such a staggering amount of money on themselves. It’s unreal.
I love tourist attractions like this. We had a great time.
The grounds were enormous also. There was a huge garden, greenhouses, a lake, and who-knows-what else.

Amazing… The milk tester was here yesterday morning and she told me that for there first anniversary her husband took her to Biltmore Estates. I am pretty brave soul and had the gall to ask her what that hit them up for. 3 days and 2 nights came to staggering total of $1400. This did include breakfast and dinner but not lunch. She also told me that a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich was selling for $9. Crazy i’d say

Fortunately they didn’t take us for that much! One day’s pass is a frightfully staggering amount though.
Do you suppose Mark has moved to Mexico?!

Oh yeah, I remember my family talking about that place! I wasn’t able to be there, but I saw the brochure (which was really a book) they brought back with them about it. Man alive…
