Thanks for all the kind words and comments, people. What a hectic day. But we survived, I think.
Actually, I don’t know. I still have stuff to do!
And guess who I met in person for the first time ever. None other than my favorite commenter of all time, Ag!!

God’s blessings to you both, may His Spirit be a strong center in your marriage.
I hope to meet Ag too some day! {:^) Along with the two of you and many others that I have come to know here and on other blogs. However, if not in this life, definitely in the next.

The best to you both!

Tom,
We were honored to be at the wedding. Yes, there was plenty of iced tea to go around. We also got to meet AG. She was the one that helped create the controversy that helped us to secure an official wedding invitation on Iced Tea Forever! We owe you one AG.
We wish T and J all the best. May God bless and keep you in the days and years to come.

And I am appreciated for creating controversy? Does that seem strange to anyone other than me?
Ah yes, I got to hug my favorite blogger of all time. Now I can die in peace.

AG,
Maybe you heard that your cousin Carlita had her baby this thursday morn. (June 30) If not, email me and I will send a few details/pics as I get them.

Yes, dear baby! I was filled with nostalgia….seems like yesterday we were sleeping out in the hay, screaming at the skittering creatures and giggling about boys…..now she’s a Mommy. AWW!
TOM! The blog world needs you! Come back and save the drowning……

Dare I to tempt Tom to reply to this! Ha ha. I would bet that he probably checks this blog while even on his honeymoon! You know, like free wireless internet at motels etc! He probably doesn’t want to let that be known however for fear of appearing distracted from the honeymoon. He will probably be mad at me for even mentioning this. I will now submit an apology in advance. Tom, I apologize for even suggesting this as a possibility.

methinks his “moonhoney” probably is sufficiently distracting to keep him away from his blog indefinitely :)

A Lament
We’re waiting all impatiently
For dear ITF’s return,
But he’s preoccupied with Jewel,
And so he our love does spurn.
We know he loves her, and her, him,
But we have something to say,
“Since we love you too, Tom Troyer,
Please come back! And don’t leave to stay!”
We’re tired of that ole by-log
Deep things are happening there,
We desire your shallow waters
Which give mirth beyond compare.
Oh, ITF! You’re glorious!
Will the sun e’er rise again
Over the sweet lakes of iced tea
Until we hear from you, friend?

That was great Delia. I say amen to the content of that poem.

Delia, I am crushed that you prefer the trite and frivolous contents contained within ITF to the deep issues of the By-log!? Youth is so fickle! {;^)
I suspect that it will be awhile before Tom can pull himself away from gazing at his fair Jewel to toil over this blog of his! In the meantime find contentment with the deeper issues discussed at the By-log.
BTW, my question to you on the By-log was not if you knew Mrs. Darling…..{:^)
July 2nd, 2005 at 8:16 pm
Oh my friend Truthseeker, here’s a plan. How about we like leave the by-log there and focus on immersing ourselves in the delightful depths of all that is not deep in ITF. :)
Fickle youth? Oh pah! Only my deep respect for the ELDERLY keeps me from uttering a smart retort.

Easy there, Ag, we don’t want to give “Gramps” a coronary! :)
Besides, he and Mom are now suffering from ’empty nest syndrome’ and are a little nervous about the unopposable fact that their youth is gone and old age approaches. Let’s not be too hard on them!
July 5th, 2005 at 1:17 pm
C’mon Tom…Either post or put us out of our misery!!!LOL!!
July 5th, 2005 at 6:42 pm
Hey, peoples! Take a look over at the by-log under the post “ITF’s Wedding”. SOMEBODY calling themselves Tom and Jewel commented and said they were having a great time. How terribly sly of him (if indeed it was him) to post over on the by-log, and to leave us all languishing over here!*sniff*

I saw that! However, I have my doubts. Notice that whoever posted that one had not logged into blogger to post that. It is an anonymous posting with their names added to it. I’m just waiting for Tom to come clean and verify this one.

“How about we like leave the by-log there and focus on immersing ourselves in the delightful depths of all that is not deep in ITF. :)”
Sorry Ag, I am not a shallow water lover. Have to have my deep water fix on a regular basis. {:^) And you can say anything to me no matter how “elderly” you think I am!
Paul I have decided to re-write my will and give you all of the girls share….of the bills! GRAMPS indeed! just you wait my boy, soon you will be standing guard at the door and looking your daughters’ suiters in the eye. Then how long before they call you GRAMPS! I am a grandfather and blessed that I am! {:^) May the Lord so grant that you may reach this blessed position of life.
And as far as the empty nest is concerned, when are you children going to come and remove the rest of your “stuff”? I can’t find room to move in the basement to call this house an empty nest! Too much “stuff” left in the nest! {:^)
I too wondered at that post claiming to be from Tom. You’d think he was too otherwise occupied to think of his bloggerbuddies on the honeymoon. Old Vern ought to know! He has been scarce for a while too, but I see that he has remembered his blog and posted recently. {:^)
July 6th, 2005 at 10:46 pm
You can yardsale the girls’ stuff! Just don’t throw away any of the cool toys I had; I may have a son to give them to. And, no not in the near future, you nosy ole Granddad!
July 7th, 2005 at 6:27 pm
Paul, I am going to sell it all, and MY TOYS as well! Wanna come to the yard sale?! {:^)
July 8th, 2005 at 5:47 pm
Hey! You don’t sell nuthin’ of yours without my express approval! Unless you let me have first dibs, AND label the stickers with the prices! Yeah, that’ll work!
