Myself, wouldn't touch them. My daughter...had to have 'em. Walmart makes an $8 dollar version that satisfied both of us. Of course, she's 9 and likes to do strange things to her hair as well. :)

Tom,
I have a pair of those horrid shoes...I did not spend a penny for them either...I am only wearing them at home because my birks are no longer wearable. I do not recommend them to anyone! As long as I do not look down at them, I will wear them on the mountain till they too, are no longer wearable.

And thank you, Thomas, once again for a fantastic, truth-filled post that takes a stand for all that is right and good.

And I bet your boots someone somewhere is going to post something childish (or at least consider it) about how "I like crocs and why is it such a big deal......." and get sincerely offended. I love the world of blog.

At the end of the day, an ugly shoe is STILL an ugly shoe. But let me tell you, those things had better be comfort and bliss beyond words in order to be worth it. SURELY somewhere there is a shoe equally as comfortable that is more attractive. GRANDMOTHERS wear shoes that have the "comfort and support needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle" that look better than those. In the world of shoes, I deem these beloved "crocs" my worst nightmare.

As another member of the female species, I'm not so sure about assigning blame for the success of these plastic mutant "shoes" solely to women. (Personally I can't stand the looks of 'em myself, and wouldn't even try the gastly things on no matter HOW comfortable they are!) And...surprise! the company was founded by three MEN, Lyndon Hansen, Scott Seamans, and George Boedecker--but maybe they're the kind of guys Kaitlyn was referring to! (I just couldn't resists digging up that bit of trivia. If you want, you can check it out for yourself... http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/106/croc.html

As a member of the female specie let me first and foremost apologize for crocs. I myself have never truly understood them but I'm sure it was a woman who came up with it...that or a guy gushing the word "fabulous."
