We were in PA recently, you know, and I kept hearing this really bizarre speech anomaly. People were trying to pluralize the word “you!” It sounds like “use.”
“Are you’s going to go somewhere?”
“What time did you’s get here?”
“We’re glad you’s were able to come.”
The more I heard it the funnier it sounded! What are they thinking?!
Since then, I’ve heard a Hoosierville man (not sure if he’s a native or not) constantly use another variation of “you.” This one is even more bizzare. “You’uns!”
“What did you’uns do?” “How were you’uns able to go?”
You’s you’s you’uns you’uns! Oh for the pure and unadulterated Utopian mother tongue.

Maybe they’re talking about ewes rather than yous?
Using your examples above, here are some suggested replies:
“Are you’s going to go somewhere?”
Yeah, they’re headed for the butchering shed where they will become mutton headed for my stomach. The leftovers we use for chicken feed.
What time did you’s get here?
Oh, the latest batch arrived a little after midnight via FedEx Air. We prefer they not get here so late, but what’s the use complaining?
We’re glad you’s were able to come.
That’s fine, but what about us? Aren’t you glad Jewel and I were able to come as well?
Yore welcome,
Mark

“You ‘uns.” That was Lynn from church wasn’t it?

That was very funny Mark! It’s a legitimate possibility, I hadn’t considered it at all. Maybe I jumped the gun on the whole thing.
Nope, Kaitlyn, wasn’t him. Does he say that?!

I agree 110% with you, Mr. ITF.
Of course, the pure and unadulterated Mother Tongue of my Utopia has taught me the excellent “y’all.”

You’uns is Amish. Or at least that’s what my Kansas relatives used to write in the Yoder circle letter: “We were so glad you’ns could come to Harley’s wedding.”

You’uns is Amish.
Nah, I’m not Amish. I’m a NaAman*, having been born in TUt** and raised in Mexico.
Yous Amish, Tom?
I’d vote for ewes being Amish.

Honestly, You all… these are phrases I’ve heard for ever since I was a young ‘un. And I’m 60 some. Just let us be! WHY say ‘you two’ when you can say yous??? I’ve heard discussions like this forever… it ain’t just being Amish, it ain’t just anything.. except hit’s just simply being us.. whoever that may be. Yes, we do need to know correct English so we can write a book ifn we want to, but even then I may want to write to yous.
