Those Pesky Reply Cards in Wedding Invitations
Wedding invitations are ferociously expensive. I should know! I dropped well over 2 c-notes on stamps alone.
Being the generous and benevolent guy that I am, I generously and benevolently put a stamp on each invitation reply card envelope. I hoped this would melt the hearts of the recipients, and they would be more likely to go to the incredible work of returning the reply card.
Ha! Sometimes I can be really naive.
Today I sat down and figured out how much money I had invested in stamps for reply cards that have not yet been returned. So far the total is just over $61.
Get those cards in the mail people!!! I can’t afford to spend $61 on your laziness!
What, me? Have I ever not returned a wedding invitation reply card? Uh, well, um, wait a minute now, er, but I’ve changed!! I’m a different man than I was then!

Tom,
We won’t be sending a reply card because you never sent us an invitation by mail. Thanks for the invite that you posted on this blog a while back. :) It seemed to be aimed at those that frequent ITF on a regular basis. My wife Naomi and I are “regulars” for sure. Jesse Yoder, (Naomi’s father), was honored to be asked to speak during your wedding. We’re not 100% sure we can make it but possibly.

To prove that Tom has invited all ITF constituents to his wedding, check out the archive link below
and take note of what is written under the picture of Tom and his fiancee.

THAT is not an invitation. You mean you would show up at a wedding with only that as an invite? Oh my! I so never would! I’m way to stuck in tradition and formality. I don’t think I would ever go to a wedding without recieving a formal invitation directed to me personally. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.

I am heartbroken “Anonymous” that you would try to disuade my wife and I from attending such a historic wedding. :( I mean…my wife is even family. She is a 1st cousin to Jewel’s mom! I will now proceed to cower in the corner as the dark clouds of sadness begin to gather…

Ok people, give me a day or two and I’ll see if I can resolve this situation. Take heart, Rob.

Hey Rob, I’m Anita, known to some as Ag. And yeah, the name does have a story behind it. Sorry to rain on your parade.:) But hey, go for it, you’re family.
I am learning, of myself, that I am too bound by formality! Really I am. So I am on a quest to be liberated. Beware!
