Enclosure Shipping Progress, Ice Cream
My new Antec enclosure is on its way, it arrived in Indianapolis at 11:30 tonight. It departed Lexington, KY at 8:25 pm. Will it make it here by Thursday? It certainly better! I need it by then, I’m going to trade in the power supply for a bigger one when I go pick up my motherboard. And thank you Amazon.com for the free shipping worth $20.33!
Tonight I got some more groceries, and I brought them in right away. I had some frozen goods this time. I even got ice cream, something I rarely consume. I did it to make my Dad proud.

Good choice on the case, Tom. We use Antec for our high-end models that are custom-built.

I should put this in your previous post but the comment link is dead.
Tom, can you tell us who the project is for? Or do you want to blow us all away when you get a Grammy?
Yeah, Antec is good. Have you checked out these DAW specs? Sweetwater’s look good, but you obviously pay them for it too. Although the price isn’t bad. I’ll probably use them when I’m ready to put together my setup. Dave

Yeah, what project???? You ready to do my CD yet? Since all my singing buddies desert me, I am currently growing one. Maybe when he’s old enough, I’ll stop procrastinating and actually make a CD.

Hey off the subject her but I noticed something unsual in one of your previous posts “Tom’s Famous Monster Diet BLT Sandwich” – amid all your tools and what not, to create your burger, off to the side was a sweet, delicate, china tea cup! So are you a connoisseur of hot tea as well as Iced Tea? Or just a connoisseur of nice dleicate things? :-)

I’ve been getting a bunch of questions about this group. I’ll need their permission for a disclosure, I can’t violate my client confidentiality policy.
Rosie, you know I’m ready to do your CD anytime! And some advice I got a long time ago from an experienced singer/musician about forming/maintaining a group was “Grow your own.” Good for you.
Susie, that is actually Jewel’s cup. She really likes those, I think my sister actually gave her that one. When I moved in, Jewel did a little decorating and things and she put the cup there.

Tom,
I found your computer upgrade post rather interesting. I used to piece my PC’s together too. I gave that up for various reasons. It began to cost quite a bit more to piece them together than to just get them as a complete unit. I was getting some from online auction companies for a while namely “Compusa Auctions” and “Ubid”. These days I refer people to Best Buy especially when they are running rebate deals. If you are willing to go through the hassle of the rebate process you can often save 300 to 400 dollars on a really decent system. I have made out fine with the HP’s and Compaq PC’s from Best Buy. Another drawback is the cost of the operating system (Windows XP) that you have to purchase separately to go with your self-built system. However I must admit that there is some satisfaction in putting your own PC together and I wish you the best!
